The whiplash injury, is a great economic and health problem all over the world. Its treatment, labour inability and the companies insures compensations generates big expenses. The treatment that.achieve the best recovery and allows to the patient as son as posible to work, has an very important interest.
In this research work, after define whiplash, and his clinical, we explain the injury mechanism and the osteopathic view, compare an osteopathic and a physiotherapy treatment models and by means a literature review, shows that the best is the first, the osteopathic treatment, although more and with better quality studies are necessary to absolutely confirm this hypothesis. - Abstract

La lesió de fuetada cervical o whiplash, és un problema a tot el món molt important, tan econòmic com de salud . Generant grans despeses, en el tractament i ocasionades per baixes laborals i indemnitzacions de les companyies asseguradores. El seu tractament i concretament, el tractament més efectiu, el que aconsegueixi la incorporació al món laboral el més aviat i amb la total o millor recuperació possible dels afectats, és d’especial interès.
En aquest treball, després de definir whiplash, i la seva clínica, explicar el mecanisme de la lesió i parlar de l’enfoc osteopàtic, comparem dos models de tractament, l’osteopàtic i el fisioterapèutic, i mitjançant la revisió de la literatura, demostrem que el més efectiu és el primer, encara que més estudis i de millor qüalitat són necessaris per poder afirmar-ho categòricament. - presented at
