Hintergrund: Rheumatoide Arthritis (RA) gehört zum
rheumatischen Formenkreis und ist eine systemische Erkrankung, die den ganzen
Körper betreffen kann.

Ziel: Überprüfung der Forschungsfrage, dass mittels Osteopathie bei Patientinnen/Patienten
mit RA die aktuellen Schmerzen und der Gesundheitszustand, gemessen anhand des
HAQ-Fragebogens und des SF-MPQ Fragebogens, verbessert werden können.

Methode: Die Versuchsgruppe
(A) (n=14) erhielt drei allgemeine osteopathische Behandlungen
(Black-Box-Verfahren) im Abstand von zwei Wochen. Die Kontrollgruppe
(B) (n=14) erhielt drei Behandlungstermine mit 16 Minuten am Magnetfeld,
welches nicht eingeschalten wurde.  Es
wurden zwei Messzeitpunkte durchgeführt, der erste Messzeitpunkt vor der ersten
Behandlung und der zweite nach der dritten Behandlung. Als Messparameter wurde
der HAQ-Fragebogen für den Gesundheitszustand und der SF-MPQ-Fragebogen für die
aktuellen Schmerzen von Patientinnen/Patienten mit RA verwendet.

Ergebnisse: Beim HAQ-Fragebogen (Änderung des FDI des HAQ)
gibt es innerhalb der Interventionsgruppe signifikante Veränderungen (V=42,
p=0,010), in der Kontrollgruppe auch (V=21, p=0,018). Bei den Ergebnissen des
SF-MPQ Fragebogens (Änderung der in der jeweiligen Woche aufgetretenen
Schmerzintensität VAS) gibt es innerhalb der Interventionsgruppe signifikante
Veränderungen (V=74, p=0,088), in der Kontrollgruppe sind diese geringer
ausgeprägt (V=51, p=0,18). Ein Einfluss der osteopathischen Behandlung auf den Gesundheitszustand
und die aktuellen Schmerzen von Patientinnen/Patienten mit RA kann nicht
nachgewiesen werden.

Diskussion: Weitere Forschung ist erforderlich.

Background: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) belongs to the rheumatic
group and is a systemic disease that can affect the whole body.

Aim: Review of the research question that osteopathy on patients with
RA can improve the current pain and health status, measured by using the HAQ
questionnaire and the SF-MPQ questionnaire.

Method: The experimental group (A) (n=14) received three
general osteopathic treatments (black box method) at an interval of two weeks.
The control group (B) (n=14) received three treatment sessions of 16 minutes in
the magnetic field, which was not switched on. Two mesasurement time points
were before; the 1st measurement time point before the 1st treatment and the
2nd measurement time point after the 3rd treatment. The HAQ questionnaire fwas
used as a measurement parameter for the health status and the SF-MPQ
questionnaire for the current level of pain of patients with RA.

Results: In the HAQ questionnaire (change in FDI of HAQ) there are
significant changes within the intervention group (V=42, p=0.010), in the
control group also (V=21, p=0.018). In the results of the SF-MPQ questionnaire
(change in pain intensity VAS occurred in the respective week) there are
significant changes within the intervention group (V=74, p=0.088), in the
control group they are less pronounced (V=51, p=0.18). An influence of
osteopathic treatment on the health status and current pain of patients with RA
cannot be proven.

Conclusion: Further research is needed.
