Description: de AbstractObjective: The aim of this master’s thesis was to
examine the influence of targeted communication of osteopathic hypotheses
within clinical reasoning processes on patients’ subjective perception and
well-being in a teaching clinic setting.Study Design: Qualitative study using
guideline-based, non-standardized interviews with semi-structured and
open-ended questions.

Methods: Twelve patients were interviewed following
their first osteopathic session at the WSO teaching clinic. Data analysis was
conducted according to Mayring‘s Qualitative Content Analysis (2022).Results: The communication of osteopathic hypotheses
had diverse effects on patients’ subjective perception and well-being. The main
categories—“Communication and Understanding,” “Openness and Acceptance,” and
“Sensations and Reactions on a Psycho-Social Level”—often, but not necessarily,
interacted with one another. The manner in which osteopathic information was
conveyed proved to be of central importance.Discussion and Conclusion: The communication of
osteopathic hypotheses represents a significant element of patient care, with
effects extending far beyond mere information transfer. Conscious engagement
with this topic is needed to better adapt communication strategies to
individual patient needs. Insights gained from patients’ perspectives offer
valuable understanding and provide practice-oriented implications for

der gezielten Kommunikation osteopathischer Hypothesen im Rahmen der Clinical
Reasoning Prozesse auf die subjektive Wahrnehmung und Befindlichkeit von
Patient:innen innerhalb eines Lehrkliniksettings zu untersuchen. Studiendesign:
Qualitative Studie
mittels leitfadengestützten, nicht-standardisierten Interviews mit
halbstrukturierten und offenen Fragen.Methodik: Zwölf Patient:innen wurden anschließend
an ihre erste osteopathische WSO-Lehrklinik-Einheit interviewt. Die Datenauswertung
erfolgte nach der Qualitativen Inhaltsanalyse nach Mayring (2022).Ergebnisse:
Die Kommunikation
osteopathischer Hypothesen hatte vielfältige Auswirkungen auf die subjektive Wahrnehmung und Befindlichkeit von
Patient:innen. Die Themen der Oberkategorien „Kommunikation und Verständnis“,
„Offenheit und Akzeptanz“ und „Empfindungen und Reaktionen auf psycho-sozialer
Ebene“ standen dabei häufig, aber nicht zwingendermaßen in gegenseitiger
Wechselwirkung. Die Art und Weise der osteopathischen
Informationsvermittlung war dabei von zentraler Bedeutung. Diskussion
und Konklusion: Die
Kommunikation osteopathischer Hypothesen ist ein bedeutsames Element in der
Versorgung von Patient:innen, deren Einfluss weit über die reine
Informationsvermittlung hinausgeht. Daher braucht es eine bewusste
Auseinandersetzung mit dem Thema, um kommunikative Strategien an individuelle
Bedürfnisse besser anpassen zu können. Ergebnisse aus Patient:innen-Perspektiven
ermöglichen dabei wertvolle Einblicke und liefern praxisrelevante Impulse für
die osteopathische Ausbildung und berufliche Weiterbildung.
