- Abstract
- Study design: Random controlled trial study comparing the effect of MET and MCT On maximal grip strength. Method: Forty subjects divided into three groups, two groups with 14 and one with 12 subjects. MCT group and MET group followed a set of 3 contractions without any rest before any technique was applied. Once the technique was applied a set of 3 contractions was recorded. The control group followed the same protocol, instead having a technique performed, 2 min rest was allowed between the 2 sets of contraction. The measurement was taken with a dynamometer. Results: Data analysis didn't reveal any statistically significant difference between before and after the techniques was applied, with a p>0.05 and therefore acceptance of the null hypothesis. Conclusion: The result of this study suggests that, 6e~ en if there were not any significant change, a wider application of the technique would have possibly increased the grip strength.
